Abstract

In June 2025, there was year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Medan City of 1.02 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 107.44.
The y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: clothing and footwear group by 1.90 percent; housing, air, electricity, and household fuel group by 0.26 percent; health group by 1.91 percent; transportation group by 0.91 percent; recreation, sports, and culture group by 0.71 percent; education group by 0.88 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 2.38 percent; and personal care and other services group by 12.44 percent.
The month-to-month (m-to-m) deflation rate for Medan City in June 2025 was 0.07 percent and the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate for Medan City in June 2025 was 0.63 percent.
